My father was a mechanic, and after school or on weekends at my dad’s shop, I’d look at his mountain of a tool box in awe. He would sit me down with a something like a carburetor or a brake master cylinder and tell me to take it apart then put it back together. I was between 8-10 years old at this time and got really good at taking things apart. The putting them back together not so much until later in life. He continued to nurture my love of cars and racing with very frequent trips to watch my father drag race.
As grew up life transitioned, and I still loved to work with my hands. It came naturally to me. If it was bikes, skateboards, ramps, forts, then gaming, computers, and code. Things to build, take apart, put back together, fix, repair or improve. The love to do so was always in my heart and continues to this day.
To understand, build and create, to design and enjoy as art.
I first created flyers for local bands, artwork for t-shirts and a few CD layouts in the late 90's. If Adobe made it (or Macromedia at the time), I wanted to learn how to use the software. I have done my best to try and stay at the forefront of development, art, and design as it has evolved in the nearly 20 years of working in the industry. Now I have worked on 1000's different projects from print to the web. So many it would be impossible to list them all. Nonetheless, I am proud of the work I have done for the many clients and people I have worked with through the years.
The evolution to from designer to online marketer.
In the past few years, I focused my time and education to the continued evolution of SEO, SEM, and social media marketing. With a few businesses to consumer and business to business clients, I have been able to identify strategies that have successfully worked. The understanding of a web visitor's journey is fascinating to me, how I can help drive traffic to websites, to offices, help garnish new sales and leads.
What do I do in my free time?
In my spare time, I enjoy gaming and building things. Whether It is woodworking, 3d modeling/printing or a recent hobby of mine the building a flying of mini quads or as many know them as drones.
